switching torque converter?

Im buying a C4 trans, I have a C6 right now, but can i put the torque converter from my C6 in the C4? Also it says the C4 will fit 289-351 w/Small Bellhousing so it should fit a 240 right?

it will fit 240. i doubt the c4 and c6 converter will interchange though.

ok in searching for a new clutch do i go by engine or by trans.
