Rag joint

Yep, it's one of those Dorman HELP products found at O Reilley's, etc. or at Amazon.

I did mine with one of those doorman sets too.. The bolts that came with the doorman kit were too short (for this short tempered novice wrencher) to use the locking washers, well I'm sure I could have got them to work, but it was very frustrating when the lock washer gives you sliver of a thread to hand thread the nut on.. So, I ended up using some bolts I had, that were the same size just a little longer, and I think I used one bolt from the removed rag joint... My recommendation would be to get slightly longer (maybe 1/4" longer) bolts from the hardware store than the bolts that come along with the doorman kit, before you head home to replace the rag joint. It was very frustrating dropping that nut 35x before I finally got different bolts...

I bought one of those help rag joints. It tore when i installed it. It would be stronger to cut up a tire than use one of those again.
