Yea, that's probably why it did't get any other bids. I'm a big right wing conservative so I only need to get Rush Limbaugh and a few of the sports stations.

used to get radio 1200, out of san antonio i believe. that was in the middle off the night in between kansas city and springfield missouri. i've been thinking about putting a radio in my 68, but i'd hate to cut the cowl for an antenna.

do you have tinted windows? if so use antenna tape on your rear window. you can get it at radio shack, stick it on. youll have to solder it to a cable and run that, but its not difficult if you take your time.

Its not too difficult, you just get strip down an antenna cable to expose the wire and ground. then solder the antenna tape to it.
Im a Ham operator, and the antenna tape is a quickie fix to getting on air, but its original purpose was for this very reason. It works well enough for most people.

I have had Sirius Satellite radio since may of 2002 and I love it. I just get irritated listening to regular radio now. It's easy to install depending on what type of set up you want. They have a tuner box that plugs into a compatable head unit or you can buy a plug and play unit you can easily remove that can either be played through a built in FM transmitter or one of the tape adapters used for the cd disk mans.fordman wrote:satelite radio. i thought of that back in 2000 but i didnt know how to set it up.

If you want Factory Ford AM/FM.....
BID NOW! Bid high too cause they go for $$. This one comes with the factory speakers as well, and all the wires.
Id suggest using the original speaker grills and replacing the speakers with newer ones. It will sound better.
I repeat, that is the correct am/fm for our trucks... go now and bid away, Im going to hold back and just go aftermarket.
The factory Fm sound is NOTHING to what we have now. The radio doesnt lock onto stations like they do now, so it will fade in and out if your far away. And it will not sound as crisp.

so far only one bid ive seen, its still goin for $10 for the whole package..
A week ago, id have bid al over this thing, but ive got a need for tunes, and those tunes need to sound GOOD.
Im not going for a completely pure, I have that... so why not get some upgraded sound while im at it.
A few years ago I remember seeing a Blaupunkt head unit that controlled a seperate 5 disc changer. that changer was the same size as a standard head unit.
I figure use the head unit in the stock location, and the changer in the highliner kit. should work out well.
