Ryan, Ford is very generous with wiring colors, they stayed the same from the 50's on up through the 90's. Blue/Red stripe is the interior lighting ckt. You just need to find that wire coming out of the main harness and tie into it. There is a triple female plug over by the light switch that has that ckt as well (for dealer installed options, etc). Same for switched 12v and I think constant 12v. The PO's stuff need traced back to make sure it's safe (fused and not chafing) so you don't burn up your wiring. If it's too trashed you'll probably be better off replacing the complete harness from a junkyard donar.

Remember, butt splices are for butt heads. Solder and heatshrink any repair work you have to do to the wiring and if you add anything get an extension block for fuses.

that wire is probably for the heater controls. the other wire that was cut off looks like a older model instrument cluster socket and bulb. which is what i was thinking before. just hook up the one thats in the truck now and dont try to hook up the one that was cut off.
