Which is the right MSD box for my application??

Post by csl7095 »

I have a 1968 f100 with a 74 302 and FMX trans Stock points distributor all pretty stock no performance upgrades. I would like to add an MSD box but have no idea what to get. I am just looking for some responsiveness and reliability. Not trying to race it or do anything crazy, I just use it for driving around town. I Think that the 6a would be fine for my application but I heard that the new ones being digital have left some people stranded and that the non digital version was much more reliable? Do they even make the non digital version anymore? Any suggestion would help. Thanks

You do know you have to replace your distributor too, right? You'll find a lot of different opinions but I recommend the OEM Ford Duraspark ignition system. https://youtu.be/m88xAflUotM
