What size jet should I run?

Post by mulletmobile »

Basic question, got a rebuilt carb from a friend and going to rebuild mine. What size jet on a stock 360, low miles, at low elevation with dry climate? Yes I would like more MPG, but willing to sacrifice a couple for more get up and go with the 3/4 ton truck? Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. (I don't know what is in my carb and the rebuild my friend gave me has 1.21 Venturi with 57 jets. He built it for his 1972 390.

I'd leave it alone. As long as it had what it came with it should run well. I have a large venturi 2100 on my 289 with the 390 jets and it runs well. The jets compliment the venturi size.
