Cast Drums w/hub and bolts?

Post by chazskinz »

Rebuilding drum brakes all around on a 67 f100 flareside 352 3spd

The drums look like all one piece with the hub attached to the drum and also the hub bolts.
They look like they never been changed for the life of the truck! Could they just be "rust welded"? Am I seeing things?

I did see a "cast" drum in one of the catalogs. Sorry, I'm not sure how to post pics.

Is this a one year only thing? a from the factory "original" thing?
Hope someone can help me. Cause now I have drums with no hub or bearing sleeve or hub bolts.

The drums are kind of pressed on the studs. They have an upset ridge on the studs that holds them on. I had to use our 50 ton shop press to remove the hubs from the drums. It was really on there.
