Flex-O-Matic Spring Replacement / Alternative
Hello folks. I have a 67 F100 that the previous owner installed F250 suspension on. I have recently cut the front out and installed a crown vic suspension and am now focused on the rear. This thing has Flex-O-Matic springs and the strange hangers on the rear. My springs need to be changed anyway and I can't locate any factory replacements. What are my options here or more importantly, what has commonly been done by others? The 2-1/4" springs are just plain rare in the aftermarket from what I can see. I'm wondering if I should snag some brackets from a dent side and switch over to 2-1/2" springs for the 9.75 axle from a navigator that I am installing. I've also considered just fabricating a triangulated 4 link since I need to lower the rear anyway. So I guess I am weighing out two options: 1) Buying the DJM lowered brackets and buying F100 dent side springs. 2) Buying a U-Weld it triangulated 4 link kit and running coil overs. I think I will have about the same money in both setups. Is there something that is commonly used that I am overlooking?

I bought the DJM hangers and shackles and two new non-flex-o-matic springs from General Spring. (generalspringkc.com)
I think they were under $400 shipped for the pair of springs. Part number 43-445.
It works. Not sure if it's the path you want to go down, but the springs themselves aren't hard to find.

Re: Flex-O-Matic Spring Replacement / Alternative
Thank you for the link! So, these are standard springs. The DJM shackle / hanger kit is meant for the 2-1/4 springs as well and I know that works, however, I'm uncertain if my rear spring brackets on the frame that the hangers bolt to are the same for standard and flex o matic springs. Does anyone know for sure? If so, this is a good solution.
