Brake Light Bezel

Post by 66f250cs »

I own a 69 F250 that is in need of a brake light bezel. I now own three from wrecks. None of them fit into the socket. The ones I have are roughly .650 dia. Measuring the I.D. of the socket, I need one roughly .600 dia. I would buy one from DC or Mac's but I'm afraid they won't fit either.
Anybody out there run into this problem as well?

Re: Brake Light Bezel update

Figured out what the problem was. The chrome tapered piece had fallen off the end of the bezel and left the shell inside the light socket. I pushed on the light socket from the backside and removed the shell and installed a new replacement bezel. Don't know if anybody else ever ran into this issue but hope this info helps.
