Compatible Rear Ends for F250?

Post by colnago »

I have a '67 F250 Camper Special with a 4.11 rear end. I'd like to swap in a 3.50, to make it more of a daily driver, and have a better gear ratio for highway driving. Does anyone know what vehicles are compatible with my F250 for a rear-end swap? What all would I need to do the swap?

Thanks,

Joseph

I have the 4:10 rear in my 68 CS. I plan on taking it to a shop and having it changed out to 3:54.

May your sails stay full, and your knots not slip. Unless a slip knot.

Oh read your post again and u want to swap the rear end out not just the gears. I figure I will be ahead time and in the long run $$$ wise to just take mine to the shop. I am staying with the rear end the 68 has and I believe 3:54 is as high as I can get for it.
I don't think any other rear end is a direct bolt up, it would take modification.
