Steering column from parts
I'm parting a truck with a four speed on the floor and going to convert my truck to the four speed manual from 3 speed auto with power steering ford type not bendix. The main shaft and lower part of the steering column in the parts truck was destroyed from cab falling on them. I took the top parts of the column and put them onto a automatic power steering column. Less shift tube and shift arm and used the powersteering main shaft appears it will all work fine just have extra openings for the neutral safety switch and shift arm which you don't see anyway if you are a purist you could fill the holes. Had these parts left over from a previous project. Has anybody ever done this I don't foresee any problems. Sure beats trying to find a 4 speed column for a powersteering truck and best part no cost. Completed column on top leftover parts on bottom of pic.
