Flex-o-matic suspension

I keep seeing about the flex o matic suspension. Should my 72 f100 have it as a standard option, Or was it an up grade?

What is a "standard option"?

The FOM set up was a requirement if the truck was ordered with higher load capacity.

yeah look at the info on decoding the vin on the tech section of this page. if you have the higher GVW model it will have flexomatic, but the lower GVW models do not.

mines a 68 shortbed, 240, 3-on-the-tree, no flex-o.
