steering stabilizer

I have been given a stabilizer and random mounting hardware. I don't know if I actually need one - the truck deems to drive fine except wants to wallow a little but I have sway bars to install. Does anyone use them? Do they help? If so, what is the best way to mount them? Some pics would be helpful. I searched google and all are on 4wd's so that may be my clue right there. Any input would be appreciated.

Swaybars will help control the lateral forces on the truck (such as going around bends in the road) to reduce body lean but, will not stop the truck from tramlining (the tendency of the front wheels to follow the ruts in the pavement).

Tramlining is generally a function of worn/old tires, worn tie rods, suspension bushings, king pins, steering gear box or a combination of these things. The only thing that will get this under control is to replace the worn items.

I have a stabilizer on the front of my f100 4 x 4 and it handles quite a bit better than my previous vehicle that didn't have it. Now that could be a multitude of things contributing to it, but for the cost, its an upgrade in my opinion.
