CV clip measurement at ride hight needed please

Post by Broncobilly66 »

I'm doing some shopping for air ride on my cv swap. My truck is in pieces. Down to a bare frame.
I need a measurement of the cv clip at ride hight in a complete running truck (motor, trans and all front sheet metal)
What I'm looking for is either an overall length of the factory coilover at ride hight. Or from a point on the lower control arm to a stationary point on the upper coil bucket. Pics of where you're measuring would be great! Thanks in advance, Billy

My truck has an Iron headed 460, and Ive cut the springs. drop from stock springs to where it is now is right at 2". Not sure if this will really work for you, but itll get you in the ball park... Sorry I didnt get better pictures, Im headed out for holiday festivities. I know what its like to be stuck on something minor though. HTH

Thanks man! That's exactly the measurement I'm looking for!
You think the stock spring would've been around 15" the way you have it measured?
Thanks shortwide! That gives me an idea of where I am

I'll be 3v 4.6 mod motor. They are a good bit lighter than a BB.
Anybody with a small block wanna put a tape to theirs? :D
