flexomatic or standard leaf springs

Post by kool patina »

I am not familiar with flexomatic rear springs, anyone have pictures of flexomatic rear springs compared to standard?

just determined that mine are flexomatic springs...how low can I expect the rear to drop by just flipping the front spring hanger?

Three to four inches depending on how the front spring hanger is positioned relative to the frame. Some will reuse a couple of the existing holes... some will max it out by installing the spring hanger high on the frame.

Because only the front spring eye is rotated along with the entire rear suspension, the axle's pinion angle will need to be restored nose down with a 4-degree shim. Before embarking on this, measure the angle before and after so you know whether to order a 2° or 4° shim.
