Tire Sizes
I have an offer to get 4 used tires with very few miles on them. They are 205/75R15. My truck has 235/75R15 on it. Is there enough difference in there to affect anything? And shouldn't they only be a little narrower?

Re: Tire Sizes
The 205 in the tire size is the width of the tread in millimeters. So that tire is 30mm or about 1-1/4" narrower than the other. A visible difference but won't hurt anything.

Re: Tire Sizes
a 205 tire is a short tire about 1" to 1.5" shorter than the 235 and a little narrower also!

Re: Tire Sizes
That will help some then gregamorton. My wife less than 5' tall and has to have a step to get in.
I'm sure she will appreciate it.
Reckon it will affect the mph much?
By the way, I was down your direction a few weeks ago. I have a Grandmother buried in the Detroit Cemetery and we take flowers over there occasionally.

Re: Tire Sizes
The middle number of a tire size is a percentage of the tread width. So any narrowing of the tread width will also affect the height. Though it may be incremental, it will still be different.
