40 20 40 seat
Just picked up 68 250 and seat is shot. I have a nice 40 20 40 seat from a 97 anyone installed one and if you did did you gain steering wheel clearance or loose it. I also have vinyl bench from 93 F350. Which would give me most gut clearance. Big guy in little truck.

The '93 will be a bolt-in procedure using your existing brackets. After removing the tracks from your donor seat you'll have to drill out the threads on the seat frame so the studs on the older tracks can go up into the holes and be secured with a nut.
You'll have to fabricate brackets to install the '97 seat.

If your truck has power steering, an aftermarket wheel will gain you some belly clearance.

re: 40 20 40 seat
Some of us gotta have all the belly room we can get to be comfortable. My new seat helped me some too.

'97 F350 is same generation as '96. F250/350s didn't change 'til '98. It should still be easy.FORDification wrote:.........You'll have to fabricate brackets to install the '97 seat.

all i had to do was put some 1" blocks in the corners where the bolt holes are. I did this about 5 years ago and havent had any issues with it. i took some crap from my friends over what i paid for the seat (500) but it was well worth it to me. took bout 30 min to install and drastically changed the interior, probably the smartest mod ive done. ill try to get some more pics up
