Post by fordman72 »

Hi, just registered but have been on the site before lots of good info and great pics of 67-72 trucks have always love these years of pickups since my dad has owned at least 2 dozen of these trucks over the years. He has about 6-7 of them on his farm now in hopes to build a few good trucks out of them. What got me more interested is I just got a 72 f-100 sport custom shortbox in trade for a mustang body I had. I have a shop and work on mainly mustangs and a guy offered the trade and I checked it out and was hooked again. Anyway the truck has a pretty much rust free cab and front clip and grill from a 68 but still has the original box but needs work, does have a 351w(orig. was a 302) and a c4 trans. Also got a 70 in the trade for parts this will be going to my dads farm in Dodge county. I will probably be on here regularly. Great site!! Tom

Welcome from Idaho! We're glad you're here! Post some pictures of your rides when you get the chance! Go HUSKERS!!! :D

EDIT: Oops! I wasn't logged in and didn't see that you already had a picture posted. Very nice! It looks like you have a '67 grille rather than a '68. Mine's a '69 with a '72 cab! Good luck with your project!!!

Yeah has the 67 grille had to look again I've only had it for about a week he also gave me 5 extra grills in case I wanted to change it out. I think I got a 68 grill that is painted and 2-3 70 grills and a 72 grill, also got a pair of extra doors, fenders and misc interior parts. probably wont start anything till this fall I have a couple mustangs that I'm builing for a few guys I need to get done first, but did find a set of wheels I might get this weekend. There the old style slotted mags they might be factory ford wheels but I like the old school look.

You'll be a great addition to the membership here - sounds like you come from a great Ford pedigree...

Good luck on your stang projects - can't wait to see what you do with the shortbox.

If the '70 has a good rust free drivers door, I'd be interested.
PM me if it does.
