brake assembly

Post by jguajardotx »

I am converting my 67 3 speed to an automatic shift on the column. I installed a brake "only" assembley today to get rid of the clutch pedal. The new assembly is from a 68-72 not sure, anyways the push rod comming from the master cylinder is to short. The brake pedal is dam near touching the cab floor. Do I need a m/c from a 68-72 now??

yeah the 67 pedal assembly is a lot different than the 68-72.

Yep...now you just need to get the MC pushrod (or the power booster) from a '68-up truck to match. Either that, or put your '67 bracket back in and just use the '68 bracket's hinge pin...which would probably be a lot faster and less expensive.
