transmission capacities question

Post by farmtruckman »

I have a 1967 long bed with the 352 motor, so assuming it is a C6, I cannot find the basic capacity of the trans with filter change. I am figuring I will never drain the torque converter with a simple drain so how much does it hold?

Help appreciated. :?

Between 11-12 quarts, depending on the converter and how well you drain it.

I think the torque converter has a drain plug, it would be best to drain it too.
If it is a c6 it holds 11 quarts if you drain the converter, probly about 5 or 6 if you don't. Put 4 in and start it run through the gears and check it till full.
