Aftermarket Disc Brakes for 69 F-100?

Post by GTScott »

New guy here...still trying to decide if I have enough time to tackle this '69 F100.

A good friend has a 67 Chevy pickup that came with 4 wheel drums. He easily went out and bought a complete kit that included EVERYTHING (spindles and the whole deal...minus fluid) to swap to discs. Does anyone produce such a thing for the Fords?

Thanks!

Yes. Ford did. You can find these kits on the front end of '73-'78 pickups.

Good luck!

I think Stainless Steel Brakes has a drum to disk conversion that allows you to use the 67-72 spindles, but they are REALLY expensive. Would be better off converting to a mid 70's OEM setup.

Thanks for all of the replies!

I checked out Master Power....over $1K for front power disc brakes? Ouch. Am I missing something?
