If you're gonna do it, do it right. Get the springs, don't put a Band-aid on a broken arm. ;)

If your springs are not sagging and by adding taller springs your camber is going to be positive and will start wearing out the out side of your tires. It's better if you get a lift kit but that's going to cost you a good chunk of change. :2cents:

Can't that be solved by having my wheel alignment done? I'd rather get a lift kit, but $$$...

There is no camber adjustment for these old trucks.
The spring must retain it's stock size...if it's longer or shorter than stock it will change your camber either positive or negative.
Just lift your truck with a jack from the front cross member under the engine and you will see what i'm talking about, same thing will happen if you put longer springs.

As stated, taller springs will make the camber go positive. I replaced my old ones with MOOG stockerds. They set the camber straight. These raised the front 1.5 inches. Search this forum, I posted the part number for the 300 I-6 Springs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the F350 springs aren't taller, just stiffer. And since they're stiffer, they're less prone (though not invulnerable) to sagging.

Okay so I should be alright with stiffer springs, but not taller springs? Which years and models of F-350 springs would fit on my truck? I'm looking through the NPD catalog and there are tons to choose from.

67-72 unles you have done a disc brake swap from a 73-79 then you will need the 73-79 springs because of the lower spring holder being different. i think.

Good luck finding 67-72 F350 front springs. If you do, tell me where you found them. I have looked all over for them. No books list them. I think the 73-79 ones will work. I have to replace mine soon.

AAww geez, I scrapped a F-350 last year that still sat tall in the front. I knew I should'a kept the front susp. off it. But since I didn't (don't) have a 2wd, they were of no use to me at the time. Sorry!

It would probably cost as much to ship them across the country as I'd pay for new ones here.

If you can fabricate stuff then you could make some taller brackets to replace the ones you have. (the ones that hold the Axle pivot.)

Then you could make a spacer for the springs. This would keep the factory alignment and ride quality.

Just a thought. It would be something to try.
