as long as the bolt pattern is the same.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Dug out my Hollanders 40th edition interchange manual and here is the info you were looking for:
70-71 Econoline w/6-240 & 8-302
70-71 F100 & F250 w/6-240,6-300 & 8-302
72 F100 w/6-240 & 8-302
72 F250 w/ 6-300
All will have the transmission you are looking for in the C4 but there are differences in the teeth count on the speedometer drive gear.
Later,
Steve

Scratch post #3 info, I was thinking you had a 70 F100.
Hollanders says for the 69 F100:
67-69 Econoline w/6-240 & 8-302
67-69 F100 & F250 w/6-240,6-300,& 8-302
Still differences in speedo gear tooth count and need to swap manual control levers on Econolines.
Later,
Steve
