Post by thedel »

went to the local u pull it in san diego, and got a P/S steering column for
$34.09. one step closer to the fine "option" of power steering. does any one know of a quick ratio steering gear for our breed of pickup?

I bought a whole truck for $100 on ebay, went to get it and the guy dropped it to $50 just to get rid of it. Pulled the power steering and some misc for myself, parted the rest and made about $200 off the deal. I still have the back half that I made into a trailer.

not bragging, but you asked. :P

BTW-Good find, those P/S columns are scarce and thats a real good price!

I've never heard of a quick-ratio box for these trucks....not too many people are going slalom-racing with them, so there really isn't a high demand for such an item.

Autofab carries a steering quickener, it used to be in one of their old catalogs a couple years back.

My trucks never break down, they just take unscheduled breaks.
