looking for big discs

Post by layedout72 »

alright im going to start piecing together my front end componants (mustangII) and im looking around, find some bad ass calipers i really like that im going to call fulltilt, or talk to marz about running, see if they know anything. but im looking at discs, and it seems u literally get the rotor ring, and find the center piece else where. where the lugs come though. whats up with this?

http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?form_ ... on=product

thats what im talking about, the drilled and slotted part seems like all you get, what do i do about the mounting option?

What you're looking at does appear to be just the rotor ring. What you need is a rotor hat. This goes over the hub/lug stud and bolts to the inside of the rotor ring. The site you listed does have these, although I don't know if they are the ones you're looking for. If you plan on using a Mustang II front suspension, then I assume you will be using M-II splindles? If that's the case then you should have no problem finding performance rotors. This is a popular swap and the only limit is your wallet.

If you're using normal mustang II spindles then yes, look for mustang II rotors and hubs. Since the popularity of the swap you can usually find them in just about any bolt pattern for any vehicle. The rotor size/type will be what limits you as to wheel size or how easy it is to find/get replacements.
