Rod bearing clearnace on a 351W

Post by Zorm »

Does anyone have the proper clearance I need to look for when using plastic gauge. This is a 1993 non roller engine, all stock. I checked the measurement of the crank rod area and its still in spec. 2.310. So I got standard bearings, now I want to put the new bearings on and use plastic gauge to check em. Do I use the red or blueish piece. Oh, this will only be a weekend driver, nothing high performance.

Also, the bearings I got have the oil hole, the old ones don't, will that matter?

thanks for any help.
