i have a 67 f-100 2 wheel drive that i am changing over to a 302 c-4. the motor that i have has a bashed in oil pan next to where the starter goes also some kind of goop that is not affected by oil, gas, or grease. and seems to hold up against engine cleaner. should i look for a new pan or try and save the old one . not meaning to brag but i am a very good welder. if there is a crack i can fix it .if i go with a new pan where would be a good place to start looking?sorry that this is so long i just want to get it right from the start.
