exhaust manifold broken

Post by lloyd70cs »

Hi everyone

Have my 1970 f250 camper special in the shop for exhaust work. Was just going to replace exhaust manifold gaskets and the donuts but somebody :x broke the passenger exhaust manifold when they were working the bolts off.
I'm looking for suggestions as i use my truck almost daily now. LMC is back ordered 6 weeks. Ebay has some stuff but I'm concerned it won't fit properly as they say 360 but not compatible with my specific truck.
Was wondering about headers. I know there's been a bunch said about them. Wondering if there's much adapting needed for shortys. Worth the swap? Anybody have some stock exhaust manifolds or just the passenger side?

Thanks

Lloyd

I'm sure I have stock manifolds off my 70 F250 4x4 if you need a set, but I'd imagine that for a 2wd headers would not be that bad (I know they can be a bitch on a 4x4), but I could be completely off base. PM Me if you want me to dig up the original manifolds, I'm sure they are buried around my shop somewhere.

Thanks Madman

I have a set of exhaust manifolds on the way. But now I'm second guessing myself. Maybe I should get the headers on while I'm in this situation. Would have to redo the exhaust and remove the rear fuel tank.
