mc rod removal
Hi all. First post first ford. Got 1971 f250. Rubuilt the 390 now upgrading breaks.have Manuel drum ft RR. Got new booster and bracket to mount. Pulled off old mc. How do I get rod out. Just pull? Hard!! Hammer? Will anything break. Do I need anything new to install t he new mc to booster or just bolt up. Thanks norm

A new MC, meant for a power brake booster and for discs front/drums rear, won't have an input rod that needs removing.
It should just bolt onto the front of the brake booster.
It's not advised to use the old drum/drum MC on a disc/drum application.
The brake valve should also be changed for one that's designed for discs/drums.

What do you mean disk drum application. I have drum ft n RR. Used old mc for drum drum. Just added brake booster. Should be fine right.
