There was some info about this previously, but the search here is a bit FUBAR with it's time you need to wait. Anyways, I have swapped in a 76 low pinion DANA 44 with discs from a 76 F250 4x4 into my 1970 F250 4x4. I see the wheel width has changed versus that of the original rear, so my question is who has done the same thing and what size of a wheel spacer did you use (width)?
Thank you for your help!

I see I may have asked this in the incorrect post. Sorry

Are you trying to correct the rear track width to match the front?

Re: Question on wheel spacer for rear when swapping in a low pinion DANA 44 w/discs
That is correct, sir. The Dana 44 I now have in the front is wider. I am estimating a 1.5" spacer for the rear wheels to get them to match the front. Is that what others have used?HIO Silver wrote:Are you trying to correct the rear track width to match the front?

I don't have any input with regards to the spacer measurement . But for a 4x4, I think I would look into different offset wheels instead of using a spacer.
