15x10 rear steels!

Thought I'd share some coolness with y'all, my rear wheels showed up yesterday and I snapped a couple shots of them while I was measuring to see how they will like living in my rear wheels wells. It's gonna be tight and I may have to roll the fender lips but I think I'll be able to make them work, not for a bump (1963 slick) hope ya like the pics...

It's not Bobby, I've did a lot of carful measuring today and if I get them under it as low as I'll have it the lips will have to be rolled I'm sure. I mounted them both and stretched a tape straight across from outer edge to outer edge and then measured from fender lip to opisate lip on the bed and there is about 1" to play with! Split that to .5" each side and you can bet a sidewall bulge of any size at all will not clear the fender lips

Yeah, you might gotta roll the edges. Plus, tires generally stick out more than 1/2" past the plane of the rim edge.

Yes I'm certain the lips will require rolling.
I will keep updates posted as I do anything worthy of seeing! Lol I'm getting my $ in order currently to order a mustang2 crossmember from fatman fabrications.

One of the guys over on Slick60's used a No-Limit IFS. It came out really nice. Have you looked into No-Limit?

That is a very cool build he has going, I've been through several of the 'project' threads over there but I had missed that one, I'll have to research that no-limit frontend and see what there about and their prices.

What I did on my "60 was to get an old Bronco (66-77 )rear axle .
It's maybe 4 inches narrower, it fits 10 inch rims no problem.
I did have to relocate the spring perches on the axle.

The bronco axle sounds like a great idea, but also sounds hard to come by
Since I posted here last I've done LOTS more meticulous measuring and I can positively say these wheels will not clear the outer fenders with the axle flipped to the top of the springs like I will have it:-( although they would work well with a truck that is not as low as mine will be. they are for sale and I can ship if buyer is willing to pay shipping and full asking price. I will be making a forsale thread.

The axles shouldn't be hard to find , but rims with a different offset would be an easier fix.
