Thanks Mancar! My 1972 F100 appears to be a bit of a Frankenstein. The automatic steering shaft column that the previous owner installed is for a 73 to 77 year. However, I already purchased the older steering wheel and chrome horn ring so there's no turning back now!

May b a pain but u can do it. Keep us posted. I put a 72 col in my 68 and retained the 68 wheel. With some work.

I'm not sure how different a '72 shaft is from a '73. I see that the turn signal switch assembly is different, but my '73 column has a '72 style assembly. See below....

It fits, but as you can see, the assembly is a bit off where there is no screw hole at the 3 o'clock position, but instead at the 4 o'clock.
My hope is that the shaft and the teeth on shaft are all the same and will accept my older ('68) steering wheel.
