2000 explorer 8.8 swap

Post by rumbler02 »

hello everyone, this is my first post. ive run into an issue that i need some help with. i am thinking about putting an 8.8 rear end out of a 2000 explorer into my 68 f100. that way i can have the disc brakes and better gears. my question is wether or not it will bolt right up to the leaf springs or will i have to relocate the brackets?

Do the math. An 8.8's perch-to-perch (o/c) measurement is 38.5 inches and total width (wheel mounting faces) is 59.5 inches.
