The Mustang front end that you get from Fatmans (or a similar vendor) is not actually a 100% stock Mustang II suspension...it's just based on that style. The stock Ford pieces won't be heavy enough to last long on a truck...and you'd still have a ton of fabricating to do, even if you were determined to make it fit.

Don't try to reinvent the wheel....just go with the kit.

I have to agree although you may save a few dollars intially, it will probally cost you more in the long run to buy the used stuff then just buying a kit designed for our trucks.

Find a 03 and up crown vic @ the wrecker and unbolt it. Comes with aluminum cross member, disk brakes, power rack, sway bar and petty much bolts in.
I found one for $175.00 complete.

yea thx for the advice guys, fatmans is a nice kit but doesnt fit into my budget build, the 03-up crown vicky front is what i'll probably do....dont mean to say i found better but...i sorta kinda did..lol, from tire to tire $150 at lkq junkyard in tampa woot woot!.....problem is i didnt look at the year of the car, i took pics but i still cant determine the yr bcuz u really cant see the control arms...my bad i guess

would it be a good idea to buy the master cylinder and booster and all of that so i have a better braking system...or will it not work??
