Anybody done this? My metering valve's button is seized so I ought to rebuild it (actually I'll likely rebuild a junkyard unit instead). I would also like to rebuild my distribution valve as either my brake warning lamp switch is bad or I can no longer center it (I need to look into it), in any case I suspect the o-rings inside are probably toast by now.
Anyway just looking to see if it's been done and if there is something I should watch out for. If not I'll probably take lots of pictures and make a thread about it when I finally do the job.
Thanks,
Sequoia

re: Factory Disc / Drum Metering & Distribution Valve Re
I hope it works out for you. I'm in the process of doing the disk brake upgrade on my truck and I don't want to put an old proportioning valve on that I don't know how to test in the first place. I'm not sure what kind you have but I'm gonna be using one from a 1975 F100. I found these two options but they are expensive. First, just replace (bottom of page) http://www.lmctruck.com/ICATALOG/FC/full.aspx?Page=125 . Next these guys will rebuild it and sleeve it, http://www.whitepost.com/brake.html . I called them and they quoted me $120 for the rebuild. Please let us know how your rebuild turns out.
Thanks,
Albert
