dying seat belts

dying seat belts
Bought used red shoulder belts (retractor type) I want to dye black, what do I buy and where and how do you use the dye? Thx, Banjo.

Try CPR?

Actually, I don't know if dying them would work because they are made from Nylon, and I don't think you can dye nylon, can you? The color may take some, but every time you sweat or wear a white shirt, you'll end up with a black stripe across your belly.
Instead, you should look into having someone replace the webbing...

Look into RIT Dye http://www.ritdye.com/Home.1.lasso it may work. You can get it at a lot of local stores or fabric stores.

The probability is, that they won't take dye because the belt webbing is mostly nylon or polyester fiber.
