Where do I get the column bearings...?

Post by Finleyphoto »

I need a lower column bearing in my '67.

This is a 3-on-the-tree column.

LMC doesn't list one and I'm not betting money on the dealer.

Thanks - Dennis

Not that I am a total LMC fan, but if there are other items that you need from them, I can tell you that the upper steering bearing (which they for $4.95 on page 90) is the same as the lower column bearing.

I bought a slew of stuff from John's F100s www.f100.com and his price is $3.75 Took them a while to ship -- but I had bought a firewall cover too and I think that slowed stuff down.

On the otherhand, Dennis Carpenter has a good reputation too and I know they have them.

Just curious -- is the ownership of carolina classics someone we should support more than other places (ie helps keep this site going) -- I am not opposed to patronizing a friend when possible.

Yeah, a nice enough sort of PVC with insulation behind it. Looks a lot better than what I have.

You looking for original I take it? Would be interesting to know if they are made. I didn't care too much as my orignal is so horrible, anything would be better.....

original would be nice. pvc will be what i might have to do unless i can save my old one. its not real bad. as long as i dont try to take it out. then it would be toast. like they all will be if you take them out.
