Could be in the right spot....
Since my fuel tank is in the cab, my question is how do I drain the fuel and clean out the tank before putting new gas in?? or is there something to "restore" gas that's been sitting for 3 years???
Good judgment comes from experience... and a lot of that comes from bad judgment

to drain the gas you could just remove the tank from the truck. you might be able to disconnect the tank line underneath the cab and get a siphon action going though.. maybe one of the things i have done is to just ad more gas to that. it will burn it out sooner or later. your fuel filter should catch any junk coming from the tank. if you dont trust the filter on the pump you could put one under the cab where it comes out of the floor of the cab.

Ive run old gas before, put some high octane gas in there. If you have half a tank of old gas, put in half a tank of high octane.
You want to bring the octane level back up on the old gas, blending like this will work.
You NEED to add an inline fuel filter to catch the crud. dont trust your stock pump filter, its not worth the risk.
Keep using high octane for a couple of tanks to flush out all the old crap. youll be fine.

if your tank is like mine, it'll drain most out when you undo that rubber line under your cab, as mentioned. If residual not coming out (like a gallon or so) and you want it out, you'll have to take an old rag or towel and wrap around a blowgun on an air compressor and poke in gas fill and that'll create pressure to blow the residual gallon or so out and rehook rubber line (put on fresh rubber) and fresh gas.
