I'd like to install a CD player under the seat as I do not want to change the look of the dash. Dash currently has all original everything (in relatively good condition) and I like the nostalgic look.
Has anyone mounted a CD player under the seat? Where did you get the mount from (or did you make it yourself)? How'd you wire it and do you like it there?
Thanks,
Cooke

i think this is the best idea for location of a new cd player without takign out the original. i wish i had access to a welder and good saw to make one of these.

re: CD player mount under seat
Great link. Interesting glovebox idea. I suppose import's installing a radio w/ a remote (ie: so he can have the glovebox closed while driving... ?).
I also have the option of punching a hole in the glovebox & placing one there (I suppose, just didn't think of it!). I'll keep tabs on that post.
Thanks!

i dont know about the remote. i would think he would get one with a remote but i dont know if the remote would work with the cd player when the glovebox is closed. im just going to find away to secure the cdplayer in the glovebox then im going to get one that i can hook up an ipod/mp3 up to so that will be the remote. the glovebox door can be closed too, since the ipod connenction isnt wireless.
let me know what you do with yours when you get around to working on it.
