How to replace my exterior door handles
Hello, I just recently purchased a 69 F100 Ranger that has been well taken care of by the previous owner, and who brought it back to about 90% original with only some minor outer chrome that needs to be cleaned up. It has some pitted chrome door handles. I just purchased some replacements and need some help getting the door panels off. Any advise on how to get it done right, would be appreciated.

are they the metal ones with screws all around?
or the fiberboard/cloth?
both require removal of the door handle and armrest inside as well as the window crank. also there are tools to remoe the little clips holding the cloth/fiberboard ones on, i think its just a standard trim removal tool.
or if your realy careful you can go the flat head screw driver right behind the pannel. but a trim removal tool will remove them without too much dammage to the door or the pannel.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

I think kieth keeps a list of links next to him. That is awesome. The last three posts I have looked at has him being the first or second reply with a link or answer. Good luck with the door handles.
