So what does a G78/15 convert over too? I have a 69 and have the same question. Not sure if I should start a new thread....I currently have P235/70 R15 and was wondering if I could put P215/70 R15 on since I have almost a brand new set collecting dust. The 235's rub on the inside wheel well in the rear. Also does anyone know what the 100, 102, 105 numbers mean? Are they just weight ratings?

215/70/15 would be a little short.

215/75/15 and 225/70/15 are both pretty close. 215/75/15 is whats on my truck at the moment and in my opinion fit and look best on stock 6" wheels.

Oh, and take a look at this:

I'll have to double check...maybe they are 215/75. I know for sure they're 100S on the load rating. If I remember right they are 26 or 27 inches tall.

The 75 series is better suited for narrower wheels. I'm almost certain all those tires relate over to a 75 series as apposed to a 70 series. They are a lower profile and wider.

Cool links...Looks like 215/80-15 would be ideal. Turns out the ones I have are 215/75-15 Goodyear Wranglers.
