Well now that my power steering project is complete I intend to move on to my brakes next. Before anything I must say "THANKS" to this site and those who helped by answering my ??'s along the way. So my local parts store offers a brake booster for my 67 for 100 bucks with master cylinder. Will I find any problems along the way? I intend to keep my drum/drum set up any insite would be appreciated
thanks
Well I'm not sure which is why I was looking for some info in here. I called both Napa and Auto Zone and they both offered booster with m/c. Any idea if it will work??
As long as they specify it's for a '67 only, and not '67-up, it should work. Since the brake pedal bracket is different on the '68-up trucks, what works for them won't work for a '67.

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.
i can get the brake booster from my parts store too with or without the master for about the same price. it is for a 67 only. but they have to order it. it will take a day to get here. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroke ... er+Booster
if this doesn't work for you it is cardone remanufactured. 50-3514 that is with the master for 93.99 plus the core charge of 45.00.
i done some research on cardone a few months ago about other auto parts and it seems they have been around for awhile. a minumum of 25 years from what i found out. i didn't look to hard for them. you can do a internet search for them and find them. the one they offer is rebuilt. master might be making new ones?
wewll autozone and oriely's both offer the booster/mast. cyl. combo for 68-72 for 93. and 99 perspectively.
And i found out that although the 76-79 boosters have a different system for working the booster it can be made to work by removing the pivot pin on the pedal and drilling a 3/8" hole just above and behind the factory hole for mounting the booster rod to the pedal arm.
Sorry but i did not take pics but i did do it by eyeballing it.
