Is it possible to swap out the tailshaft on a 4wd E40D to a 2wd tailshaft. I already have the 2wd tailshaft and was just wondering if the swap is possible (done fairly easily). Thanks in advance, you all are awesome. Cole

i beleve that the cases are the same so the tail housing will fit just fine but on the 4x4 trans the tail shaft is shorter than one on the 2wd, so you would have to swithch the tail shaft. its not hard if you have torn down a trans. before.
