72 31 Spline in my 69

I found a Dana 60 rear end out of a 72 F250 with a 31 spline for my truck. How well will this fit in my 69 F250? What else will I need to replace?

i don't think oyu would have to replace anything. it came from the same years as the one you have so the frame width won't be a worry. i doubt the springs or driveshaft would be a problem. the only thing i can think of if its a 3/4 ton vs a 1/2 ton truck. then the lugs will be different.

The guy selling it said its an 8 lug so that wouldnt be an issue. Since I havent taken my rear end apart I'm not sure what spline mine is. I just bought the truck and havent got that far yet as I dont want to take it apart until I find the parts to get it fixed. What spline does a 69 have?

i don't know about a f250. most f100 had 28 spline rear ends.

Dana 60 in '69 was 10 spline.

Pre-72 ford dana 60's are 16 spline, not 10 spline. All this information here doesn't make much sense. Ford used 16 spline and 30 spline dana 60's. The dana 60 will swap in place of a 9", but you will have to shorten the driveline and of coarse run 8 lug wheels.
