Great web site!! '68 Camper Special from CT
Hi. I'm a new memeber from CT. I have a '68 F250 Camper Special that has been in the family since it was driven off the dealer lot approximately 38 years ago. The truck has never been abused or messed with in any way. It has a 360 ci motor and of course, the cool wide mirrors.
The truck was my first car and I used it through college. I was keeping up on all the maintenance but it came to a point where it needed more work than I could afford, so it was parked until I could get around to it. Well, 13 years later I can afford to spend the time and $ to fix it properly.
So, some fresh gas and a new battery and it started and ran pretty good. Not bad for all those years sitting. I evicted all the mice and wasps and have removed everything down to the frame. The motor is being rebuilt at a local machine shop while I have been welding body panels. I want to do a good job on this project so I'm trying to take the time to do things right, but I also can't wait to drive it again!!

Welcome to the site. Good job keeping that truck in the family. There is something to be said for an unmolested truck.
