A believe sharkdance used an engine hoist with 2 chains attached to 4 mounitng points on the cab floor/firewall and then lifted the chain/cab with the engine hoist.

I have removed one myself without an enigne hoist. Materials involved:

1 Dozen hamburgers and buns
1 dozen hotdogs and buns
2 12 packs bud
1 5th of jack
2 2 liters Coke
4 bags of doritos

4 other 6ft+ 250lb+ friends.
1 average sized friend to watch for wires/lines that were not disconnected or in the way.

The results, 1 cab and bed removed from frame (none of that removing seat, tank, column stuff to save weight here) and a manly feeling for the rest of the day.

As always, just my :2cents: ,

Custom made dolleys. Although I made a trip to Lowes to pick up some lumber the other day, and those metal carts with the handle and the flat bottom have possibilities......

I'd hate for one to follow me home one day.. just might have to keep it for a while.

:shh: :P But don't let me get you in trouble.

I've also removed several cabs, but had access to machinery:

There are some pictures of the home-made wooden cart I whipped up for moving my cab around at this link: http://www.fordification.com/my67-p8.htm
