EFI swapped throttle cable

Post by rco630 »

I’m working on swapping a mustang 302 into my 69 f100 and was wondering what others did or what options there were for the gas pedal and cable connection to the throttle body.

Thanks for any info

So reworked a Lokar cable and used some of the parts off my stock throttle cable on my '93 Coupe with a 302W based motor in it as they no longer make these cables. I used Lokar cable P/N TC-1000U36 which is 36" long but you may need a longer one. The end that comes with it will snap on the TB and then you just need to make it work at the firewall and attach to the gas pedal. I will say you will need to create a positive stop on the gas pedal so you do not break the cable or pull it out of the end that snaps onto the TB.
