Holes in frame for rear bumper brackets.

What does and how many holes are in your frames for bumper mounting?
I have a set of the non step type brackets and they dont line up for mounting.
First picture is of my frame and the second is a pic. sent to my from another members truck. Just curious as to what you all have back there.

mine has two but could use three because it moves.

mine is like the second pic. and mine did move because the bolt came loose so i tightened it.
i think i have a aftermarket type of bumper.

My 70 SC is like the second pic.I think my step bumper is aftermarket because the space for the licsense plate is over on the left side instead of the centerof the bumper.I also have about 5 holes on each side of the frame about a foot and a half in front of the bumper bracket holes...no clue what those are for.

My 68 F250 2wd has different holes. The original step bumper uses these two lower ones.

Thanks all for the responses. I'm still a bit puzzled as to all the frame differences, but yet the common standard set of brackets that everbody either wants or sells for the non-step type bumpers will or does fit these trucks for many diff. model years.

I always thought the factory mounted the sport bumper out too far....left too much of a gap between it and the box. When I get to the point of mounting mine, I'll have to redrill holes, but it's getting moved in as close as it'll get to the box without scraping.

And you know what? I didn't notice this when I was taking the pictures, but once I started processing these pictures to post, I noticed that it appears that the rear section of frame is longer on the F250! See how the mounting holes are farther away from the rear leaf spring bracket? I'm going to have to remember to actually compare the frame section measurements between the F250 and F100 the next time I'm at the shop.

I think what you're seeing is the difference between the short and long wheelbase frames. The long wheelbase frame has around 4" more from the rear axle to the end of the frame.

There's a 16" difference between the short and long wheelbases but a 20" difference between the beds, the extra 4" comes out the back.
