Oil pan gasket

Post by 1guydude »

It.dosent need to be done, but probably will need to be done in the near to not so distant future.
Ive done some research and it looks like i will have to take out my motor mount bolts and raise my.motor to get out the pan and such.
I will use 2×4s and wedge it up. My question is. Do i need to unhook my tranny anywhere? Or can i just go at it and everything will angle up with the motor?
Basically im looking at changing my oil pan gasket, pickup gaskets, and clean the.screen.

I think you'll be okay, but you should lossen or remove the rear mounting bolts on the tranny, since it will need to tilt up. Other than that, the U-joint should protect the driveshaft.
