Needing help with 390 pump to carb line routing

I need some help or pictures of the fuel line routing from the pump to carb on a 390 trucks a 67 f100 long bed I just want to know which line goes to carb and which one goes to line going to the tank and which one goes to carb on the fuel pump

My pump has the lines side by side one has a nut and one has a flare I'm trying to figure out witch line runs where I'm not getting fuel up to carb and am wondering if I got lines crossed up some way I got a brand new 390 dropped back in it

If this helps, on my pump the threaded fitting goes to the carb and the hose fitting connects to the tank. I have the pump with the built in filter. 1969 390 engine.

It might not be the case here, but I've had a really bad run of luck with replacement pumps. With someone operating the starter, you can put your finger over the ports to see if you can feel vacuum and pressure. Just watch out for the fan, pulleys and belts.
It's not much fun, but they're not that hard to take off in situ. Once it's out you can manually operate it to see if it's working, and you can check to see if it's marked "in' and "out" as magic bus mentioned (all of mine were).
My fuel lines just had straight cuts on each end, so I put barb fittings on my pump ports, and connected the hard lines with short lengths of flexible hose.

OK I'll take a look at that but if the fuel lines were backwards on the pump it wouldn't put fuel to the carb would it. I'm gonna check that first and see if I crossed them up some how

Alright line are definitely good the pumps not pulling no fuel I even used a vacum tool to pull fuel from the tank line up to the pump I primed to carb and she ran for a minute and then nothing it still ain't pulling fuel up to the carb

How hard is it to replace the fuel pump on a 390 fe

The pump's pretty easy to change. Two bolts, and the fuel lines. Make sure the pump "tongue" goes under the eccentric in the block. First, take out the filter, and try again, and check the line to the tank. The pump might be fine, but there might be some obstruction. Also, check your oil. I had condensation build up in the crankcase (bad PCV valve), which washed the oil off the fuel pump pivot, so it couldn't pump. Swapped in a new PCV valve, condensation cleared up, fuel pump worked again.

I had to pull the oil pressure sender to get to one of the pump bolts, but it's not that hard of a job.

Alrighty thanks yall I'm gonna get a new fuel pump and replace it and change the oil too and filter it definitely the pump oil had a smell of gas too it so I'm gonna get around to changing that.

Thanks for the picture I got a new carter mechanical fuel pump just installed it on the truck and still no fuel should I prime it first there's 8 gallons of gas in a brand new tank just installed it before putting the motor back in the truck what am I missing should I primed the carb again
